கும்படம் என்கின்ற பகுதியில் உள்ள ஒரு ரெங்கநாதர் படத்தை போட்டு அந்த இடம் பற்றி தேடி வருவதை நான்காம் பாகத்தில் எழுதி இருந்தேன் ...
இந்த பெருமாளின் படத்தை பிரிண்ட் போட்டு பல பேரிடம் காட்டினேன் , அதில் எனது பாக்டரியில் வேலை பார்க்கும் ஒரு பெண் (திருமதி. கலா )என்பவர் மிக சரியாக இந்த கோவில் இருக்கும் இடத்தை கூறிப்பிட்டு உதவினார் .
இந்த வீடியோவில் பார்க்கும் போது இந்த பெருமாளுக்கு அருகில் தரை எங்கும் சாக்கடை நீர் தேங்கி உள்ளது ... எல்லா புறமும் சுண்ணாம்புக் காரைகள் இன்னும் சில நாள் கூட இருக்காது போல் காணப்படுகிறது ...
நாம் விரைந்து செயல் படாவிட்டால் இந்த கோவிலின் தொன்மையான கை வேலைப்பாடுகள் நம்மால் அறியமுடியாத படி மறைந்து போகும் .
இந்த இடம் மும்பை தாராவி போன்று மிக குறுகிய பாதைகள் கொண்ட பகுதியாக உள்ளது .. எனது தந்தையார் காலத்தில் இருந்து எங்கள் குடும்பம் இந்த ஊரில் சுமார் 75 ஆண்டுகளாக வாழ்ந்து வருவதால் அங்கு இருந்த ஒரு பெரியவருக்கு என்னை தெரிந்து இருந்தது, எனது வேலையை சுலபமாக்கியது ..
இந்த கோவிலை சுற்றி வந்து பார்த்தவரையில் இதன் அஸ்திவாரம் சில வரிகள் கருங்கர்களாலும், ஒரு அடியிலிருந்து பழமையான செங்கல வரிசைகளால் ஆனதாக தெரிகிறது .. சுதை பல காலங்களில் திருத்தி அமைக்கப்பட்ட தாக தெரிகிறது .. இது கோவிலின் உள் ஒரு கோவிலாக காணப்படுவது ஒரு விநோதமே .. இந்த ரெங்க விமான அமைப்பே பிற்காலத்தில் ஏற்ப்பட்ட ஒன்றாக படுகிறது .. இந்த இடத்தின் பெருமையை அறிந்த எவரோ ... ஒரு மாடல் ரெங்க நாத கோவிலை உட்புறமாக இவ்வாறாக உருவாக்கி இருக்ககூடும் என நினைக்கிறேன் ...
நான் அருகில் விசரித்தவரை சொந்தம் என்று கோர இந்த இடத்திற்கு யாரும் இல்லை என்றே தெரிகிறது ....
நாம் இந்த இடத்தையும் சரிசெய்ய வேண்டும் அருகில் குடி இருப்பவர் மனதில் எதிர்ப்பு இல்லாமல் ...

In the last blog of no.4, i have written about a place called Kumbadam near east of srirangam where there is a renganathar temple which presumably constructed around 1340AD, when Nam perumal was away at Tirupathi.
I took a print out of this perumal picture and showed to lot of people .. one of my factory worker(obviously a lady, named Mrs. Kala..) clearly identified this and told me the exact location opp to srirangam boys higher secondery school.. As you can see from the video... the floor is wet with sewage.. the lime martor plasting may not lost long and we may not know the real hand work of the past if we didnot act quickly.....
After a simple look over the temple.. (this place looks like a tharavi slum, hardly few feet of passage with lot of houses!!) the people in all the houses asked me why i am here and who i am .. thank god my family lives in this place for over 75 years made my stay there acceptable !!!
the temple has granite wall upto a feet height and then old brick masonry ,the lime mortar hand works seems to have been redone many a times.. it is a temple inside a temple... the model renga vimaana to me , may be done in the later period than in 1340"s. may be some one who know the significance of this place would have done this...
The place is not owned by any one.... it is now being used as a dump yard with out knowing its significance i donot want to alert the people around that place which they may feel threatening their possession...
we need to save a place which i presume would have been of some significance connected to our past....
